Dan Hirchert has been involved with wildlife damage management issues in Wisconsin for 30 years. Over that time, he has held multiple wildlife biologist roles with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and USDA Wildlife Services. He currently is the Wisconsin State Director of the USDA Wildlife Services program. USDA Wildlife Services partners with WI DNR to address conflicts with a variety of wildlife species including wolves. His staff investigates reports of wolf depredations and provides abatement recommendations and materials to reduce future risks.
