Mike Norris, Green Lake WI: As one of the Midwest’s top fishing guides, Mike exceeds the expectations of his customers when on the water with him. His customers not only catch fish during a guide trip with Mike Norris, but Mike teaches them the innovative strategies for how and why they are catching fish. Mike’s extensive knowledge of fishing makes him as successful fishing for panfish and northern pike as he is at catching trophy smallmouth bass and walleye. Mike’s expertise doesn’t end on the water. He is a dynamic seminar speaker, frequent radio show guest, and an outdoors writer and photographer. Before setting up his fishing guide business in south-central Wisconsin Mike hosted weekly outdoors radio shows on Chicago’s premier sports radio show “The SCORE” AM 670 and on AM-1280 WBIG in Aurora, IL. Mike was also the featured outdoors columnist for the Aurora Beacon and Elgin Courier newspapers. In his early years as a bass tournament angler, Mike dominated regional bass tournaments before trying his hand fishing professionally on both the Masters Walleye Circuit and the Professional Walleye Tour. During his walleye tournament career Mike founded “The Walleye Masters Institute” which was attended annually by hundreds of walleye enthusiasts from across the nation. Mike retired from professional fishing in 2008 and relocated from Illinois to Wisconsin where he currently guides clients to trophy smallmouth bass and other gamefish on Big Green and other south-central Wisconsin area lakes. Mike’s numerous magazine articles, photo credits radio and television appearances combined with his extensive tournament and guiding experience make it easy to see that Mike Norris Outdoors is truly a multi-media operation who can teach and entertain clients throughout the Midwest.
