Spence Petros has been one of the country’s leading fishing educators for 45 years. He was the editor for Wisconsin-based Fishing Facts magazine for 23 years. This magazine was the first publication that taught the concepts of structure fishing, which started in the late 1960’s. Spence has done hundreds of TV shows on his own and while guesting on shows hosted by Babe Winkelman, Joe Bucher, Al Lindner, Roland Martin and others. Spence is a multi-species angler adapt at catching everything from panfish to muskies. He has also written hundreds of articles and has done countless seminars from New York to Nevada. Now semi-retired, he still guides on a limited basis in Wisconsin. In 1989 he was inducted into the National Freshwater Hall of Fame.
